Cleaning your bathroom every week or at least very periodically is an important aspect to making sure your home is safe and secure. In fact, if you are careful enough with how you clean your bathroom, you will be amazed with the results that you have. It is important that you do this in such a way that you don’t end up with any problems following cleaning. Read on to find out more. Shine up your doors If you have a glass shower door, you may find that you have a lot of problems that you weren’t anticipating beforehand. The most important thing to do when cleaning your bathroom is to give those doors a shine very couple of weeks. If you actually just rub some lemon oil on your shower door, you won’t even have problems with water droplets – it will just bead up and come off without any trouble. Another thing you can do is glass treatments that produce the same results. Clean your shower liner Do you see that you have mold on the liner of your shower curtain? This is a common problem, but it can be fixed by simply washing it in the washer with some towels. This will help get it squeaky clean. Clean your toilet We know, you’re thinking “duh”. But this is essential to having a clean and tidy bathroom free of germs. You can try things that are non-toxic to clean your toilet bowl, just incase you’re worried about your dog finding it and getting into it. If you are not careful, you will have problems that may not be fixable. It is important that you know exactly what to do to clean your toilet. Keep the strays away You probably think that your hair is not a significant problem, but hair can clog drains and toilets so much that you may have significant plumbing problems if you are not careful. In fact, it is wise to be sure that you have the cleanest possible drains by getting rid of the hair. In order to do this, sweep them up with some toilet paper every day. It is much easier to do it this way than it is to try and clean it with a broom. Hair will stick to your broom and you’ll be left with a hairy mess. Do it at bedtime The best way to keep your home clean is to just do a quick swipe through at the end of the day. If you do this while your kids are washing up and brushing their teeth, you will find that your bathroom stays cleaner for much longer. - Start in a specific place, and then move clockwise around your kitchen until you return to your starting point. It might be wise to end with your stove, since this is typically a very dirty place in most kitchens, and you may find yourself spreading the dirt if you start with it. If you soak your drip pans in very warm water that is also soapy, you will have better results after you get to them.
Caring for your carpet is the best way to keep it clean for the long haul. Read on to find out some more about some basic carpet cleaning tips. You’ll love the way your carpet looks and feels after you employ these techniques. Vacuum often Carpet is like a giant air filter, collecting our home’s dust and dirt. These two products act like fine sandpaper, which wears down carpet fibers over time. Skip a full-home vacuum in favor of vacuuming high-traffic areas once a week or more often. If you quickly vacuum the high-soil areas in the entries and toward the front of your home, you can add years to the life of your carpet. Take it slow As soon as stains happen, be sure to take care of them, if possible. Most carpets are made to resist liquid penetration for a time, so if you blot (don’t rub!) it dry with a clean cloth, the stain may not have a chance to set. If blotting doesn’t do the trick, move on to treating with natural options, such as borax or soda water, or store-bought cleaners. Always follow instructions on labels. Match your vacuum to your needs The price and beauty of your vacuum are not good indicators of performance when it comes to vacuums. Pick one based on the function rather than the price tag. Do you have shedding pets? Choose a vacuum that has a hose and multiple attachments. Do you have stairs? Find a light one, or one with a removable stair-cleaning attachment. Maintain your vacuum You may often see vacuums that have stopped working due to lack of care. Empty the canister or bag frequently, check the hoses for clogs, and change the filter when it starts to turn gray. A decent vacuum should last you at least five to 10 years, as long as you maintain it in the proper manner. Protect your investment, no matter how small. Decorating and choosing carpet is the best way to create a beautiful look inside your home. Your living room in your home is one of the most often seen places by your family and your guests. It’s the place where you choose to gather, and, just as the name suggests – live in! It is important to decorate this room in a way that makes you feel happy and at home, and contains some great decorating items that add visual interest to the room. Read on to find out more tips for decorating your living room. Setting up the room on an angle It probably goes directly against your instincts to do anything but straight-on decorating, but turning your couches at an angle can change the entire vibe of your room. Try not only setting the furniture, but the carpet on an angle. Your room will feel completely different, it won’t have that stiff and boring feel, and you’ll love the way it changes up your view. Add a throw If you have an older couch that you’re longing to replace but just don’t have the funds for yet, try adding a throw blanket or pillow. Adding a new pop of color or texture not only creates something new and different for the room, but it will change the look without breaking the bank. Try this for some great results that you will love. Try different heights Instead of your average coffee table, try a pedestal table that is set at tea height. This is much more versatile, and you can even pull up a few chairs and eat at it. The scale and height creates a different landscape in the room, which is much more interesting. Adding greenery If your room has an empty or lonely corner, try buying a tree in a basket or planter and put it in that corner. A fiddle leaf fig is a great option. If you want to go the extra mile to draw attention to it, put some uplights behind it. Add an instant fireplace Try adding a biofuel fireplace unit. This is a wonderfully simple installation, with no required ventilation, and they are fueled by ethanol which is easily purchased at the hardware store. You’ll love the instant transformation this gives to your home. Art Placing art in your home doesn’t have to be a huge investment. Cut out 20 pages from a favorite book. Buy 20 inexpensive frames and place them side by side in rows on the wall. Repetition is powerful. If you try each of these tips, you will love the resulting beauty that comes from adding your own touch to your home decorations. You will love everything you put into it, and your friends will, too! Putting your own touch into your home makes it truly feel yours, and you will love it for years to come. If you decorate your home in a way that matches well with your carpet, you will love the results. If your carpets need cleaning, contact our Orlando Carpet Cleaning specialists. Carpet cleaning is a great option to get your home looking great before you know it. If you have any questions about how best to do this, contact an Orlando carpet cleaning specialist for more information. There are a lot of myths surrounding carpet cleaning, and today we are here to dispel them. Read on to find out more. Myth #1: You should wait as long as possible before cleaning your carpet This is not true. Dirt is as abrasive as sandpaper. Every time you step on the carpet, you grind dirt into your carpet fibers. This cuts your carpet just as if you had used a knife, causing it to wear out faster. A dirty carpet will not last nearly as long as a clean carpet. And while vacuuming helps by itself, it’s simply not enough. The longer you wait to have your carpet cleaned the more damage you do to your carpet and the faster it wears out. Myth #2: The only reason to clean carpets is to get out the dirt As you probably know, outdoor air contains pollens, bacteria, air polution, cigarette smoke, car exhaust, and hundreds of other chemicals. When you and your family members come into your home you carry those pollens, bacteria, and other chemicals in your hair, on your skin, your clothing and shoes. Not surprisingly, all those chemicals wind up in your carpet because of gravity. If you have allergies, asthma, or other breathing problems, one major problem could be the chemicals caught in your carpet. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, you might also find that you’ll breath easier after you hire a company to get those harmful chemicals out of the carpet. So, in addition to getting rid of dirt, another important reason to clean your carpet is to rid it of tobacco smoke residue. Many harmful chemicals that cause cancer are in tobacco, so it’s important to rid your home of these chemicals as quickly as possible. Myth #3: Having the right equipment is all a company needs to clean your carpets properly Many companies own hot-water cleaners but a large number of employees don’t know how to use them. You probably know someone who bought the newest computer on the market, but didn’t learn how to use it for a year or more. The same is true with carpet cleaning machines. The company may own good equipment, but the employees may not know how to use it correctly. This is why it’s important that you choose your carpet-cleaning technician carefully. The best carpet cleaning companies are those that have been certified by the institute of inspection, cleaning, and restoration certification, known as the IICRC. A carpet cleaning comapny cannot buy this certification. The carpet cleaner must earn it through study and experience and the completion of formal examinations. Cleaners who are certified by the IICRC have earned a degree in carpet cleaning. If you understand these myths about carpet cleaning, you will be able to get the best technician possible and your carpets will be as good as new! Contact us today.

Taking care of your ceramic tile floors with a gentle hand and a few smart techniques, which will keep your tiles and grout looking like new. It’s important to follow the basics. Sweep or vacuum your glazed tile floors regularly to keep them from getting dull. Your tile may be resistant to dirt, but sand and grit can dull the glazed surface of your tile. Clean tile with mild detergent and clean water, and use a rag or chamois-type mop rather than a sponge mop. A sponge mop will push the dirty water into the grout lines and make them harder to clean. Be sure to change the water often while mopping, because dirty water equals a cloudy floor. Ditch residue If your tiles look hazy, you might be dealing with a soapy residue. Remove this film with a nonabrasive all-purpose cleaner. You could also try a mild acid – such as fresh lemon juice – on ceramic tiles. Never use this on marble, however, as it could remove the finish. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and buff dry with a clean lintfree cloth. Be kind to your knees and dry tiles the easy way – by using your foot to slide the cloth over the floor. Get great-looking grout The true secret to a great-looking tile floor is clean grout. Grout is porous and absorbs grease and other stains. Skip cleaners from commercial owners and instead make a paste of baking soda and water. Rub it on the stain, let it sit overnight, then scrub the stain in the morning with a stiff nylon brush (a metal brush will damage grout). Repeat this as necessary, and apply a silicone-base sealer to the grout to repel future stains. Grout is a tricky thing to keep clean because it is porous. And on tile floors, crumbs and dirt can be left behind, even after sweeping. Plus, a quick wipe of the tiled surface can sometimes miss spots because the grout lines are often slightly deeper than the surface. Common household products can be used to tackle dirty grout. If your grout is lightly stained, use a strong bleach solution and scrub with a small brush or toothbrush. Don’t scrub too hard, or you may damage the grout. Wear safety goggles to prevent the bleach from spattering in your eyes. Keep the work area ventilated. Try a foaming grout cleaner that might need to soak for several minutes to be effective. If your grout is deeply stained, replace it. Tile stores sell and sometimes rent tools for removing grout. Run the tool along the grout, taking care not to scratch the surrounding tile. Clean the space between the tiles with a strong bleach solution, then apply new grout and seal it. Do not spill bleach on porcelain because the solution might cause pitting or yellow and pink stains. If you have any questions about how to clean your tile, talk to our Orlando Carpet Cleaning specialists. We know how to clean each of your flooring types and will get you the best results.

Preventative Maintenance Cut your hardwood floor cleaning time with smart preventative maintenance. If you position mats both outside and inside exterior doors to lessen tracked in dirt, you will have less things to clean up later. In snowy or rainy weather, be sure you require people to remove their boots so avoid damage from water and deicers. Prevent marks on the floor by using protectors under furniture and by using rugs in play areas to ensure children’s toys don’t scratch the floor. Basic Care Speed up your floor cleaning process by dusting the floor with a mop that has been treated with a dusting agent to pick up dust, dirt, and pet hair that may scratch the surface. For weekly cleaning, vacuum the floor with a brush-attachment or an electric broom. Do not use a vacuum with a beater, because this can scratch a wood floor’s finish. Deep Clean Dirt, oil, and other messes build up on your floor over time and aren’t completely removed by weekly mopping. For occasional deep cleaning, use a wood-cleaning product diluted according to the instructions on the label. Saturate a sponge or rag mop in the water, then wring it almost dry so it feels only slightly damp to the touch. Damp-mop the floor, being very careful to prevent standing water on the floor. Rinse with a clean mop and dampen in clear water, but only if the cleaning product requires it. Wipe up excess liquid because standing water can damage wood surfaces. If the weather is humid at all, operate a ceiling fan or the air-condition to speed up the drying process. Removing Marks Your hardwood floor may have a specific finish, so be sure to consider this before you attempt to remove a mark. If the stain is on the surface, your floor probably has a hard finish, such as urethane. If the stain has penetrated through to the wood, the floor probably has a soft oiled finish, common in older homes whose floors have not been refinished and resealed. Wipe surface stains with a soft, clean cloth. Never use sandpaper, steel wool, or harsh chemicals on such a surface because they can permanently damage the finish. If you follow each of these tips, you will find that your hardwood floors will look much better than anything you could have imagined. However, if you find that your hardwood floors are not up to the standard you wish them to be, contact us today and we can help you with that.
