I’m kind of having a tough time…

You might know Angela that usually answers our phone during the week. Well she has the NERVE to go on a vacation. And not a one week vacation but three flippin’ week vacation.

I’m kind of dying over here…all by myself answering the phones. It’s hard to do both, clean and answer phones and schedule. I know, I’m a big cry baby. Get out your violins….shed a tear.

If you need to get a hold of me please have patience until I can get her back. Text me, call or email and I will get back to you.

Aaand, Angela isn’t my wife. She is my work wife. My real wife, her name is JoAnn, was normally staying at home with the kiddos. But since we are empty nesters we are enjoying seeing each other more often during the day. She will be helping more in the business and I hope you get to know her.

This month, until September 15th, is our “Back to school, please use our services because I’m broke” discount.

Any of our services get $50 off during August and up to September 15th.

Thanks for all you do.

Sincerely,

Deland Moghimi

“Your Nerds In The Cleaning Business”

P.S. Keep a look out for an updated photo of my four kiddos. They are growing like weeds.

My wife is an empty nester…

For the first time in 12 years we won’t have any kids at home during school. With a tear of joy and sadness our last little one is going into vpk for a few hours each day.

Friday is a big day for the wife and me, the first day of school. I remember other big days: like when all of our kids could hold a bottle by themselves, when we got a mini van with electric doors we didn’t have to get out and shut each and every single time, when the kids could buckle themselves, when they slept through the night and when they learned how to go and get me a drink of water. Oh, the good old days. 🙂

My little “Kaboosie” (her nickname because she’s at the end of the family train) is so stinkin’ excited about school she is just beaming. She learned her teachers name and she can’t stop talking about her.

Thank you for supporting my little family and my employees family. We really couldn’t do anything without you. I know there are a ton of options out there and I’m glad you felt and hopefully feel we are a good fit for you and your life right now.

So now that the kids are in school it might be a good time to spruce the old place up, eh? My wife is going to start paying MORE attention to what’s going on in the business so you’ve got to make me look good.

This month we are running the: “I’m broke, please use my services” deal this month! $50 off any of our wonderful services and ends September 15th.

If you have any questions or would like a ballpark price over phone or email please give us a shout and we can help you plan and answer any questions you might have.

Thank you again for your trust and business.

Sincerely,

Deland Moghimi

3rd Generation Rug Cleaner, Grandma and Gatorland

My opinionated Iranian Grandma came to visit and I learned I am a 3rd Generation Rug Cleaner!  The rest of the story goes like this…

My Dad picks her up at the airport on Thursday at like 11:00 pm. Friday, I don’t hear anything. So I call and ask “what’s up? Do I get to see my Grandma?”

So, my Dad says, “Sure, of course. I’m going to take her to one of those helicopter rides and then to gator land. Would you like to come with us to Gator land?”

I’m like, “I’d love to but I’ve got 4 kids and they turn into Demon Children after 7 pm so I’d like it to be early if that’s cool?”

“Yeah, yeah, no problem. I’ll let you know.”

Saturday morning comes and we know nothing will happen in the morning because it never does. So my wife, the kids and I head to IKEA! We dropped our two youngest off at the daycare and strolled IKEA before they made us come back and pick up our kids, ugh… We need more storage in our home so that is what we were buying. Storage to hold all of our crap.

So, my Dad texts me at like 3 pm, “We are heading for the helicopter ride.”

I was so annoyed I just said, “ok.” In my mind, I was already not going. Who goes to Gator Land at like 5 pm? My Dad goes to Gatorland at like 5 pm. That’s who. He takes my 82-year-old grandma to Gator Land. We were not going that late. No sir-ree-bob. I don’t want cranky children.

He tells me later that for the helicopter ride she was nervous to get on the tour but afterward asked, “That was short.” Then for Gatorland, she wanted to leave after 15 minutes. She says, “Is this all there is?” And my Dad wheeled her back out to be in the nice cool car with the AC.

So, they came to the house and we enjoyed our time together. Showed her our new home and ate some chocolate cake she brought by. We got pictures of all the kids and her. It was fun.

I’m sure glad I didn’t try to push Gatorland into the mix so late in the day.

We got talking about area rugs and how they make many rugs near and around her village in Iran. She also has done a lot of repairs on area rugs herself. Therefore, I can claim I’m a 3rd generation area rug cleaner now!

Take care for now!

Sincerely,
Deland Moghimi

Rugs and Carpet Provide a Number of Great Benefits for Homes

Adds Beauty and Style

You can choose from many thousands of rugs and carpet styles and colors. That means your ultimate choice will reflect how you want to personalize your living space. Rugs and carpet can be a neutral foundation, or they can be a focal point with vibrant colors and stronger bolder patterns and textures.
rugs and carpet

“Studies have shown that people with asthma and allergy problems have seen symptoms improve with rugs and carpet.”

Improves Indoor Air Quality

New carpet is the lowest VOC-emitting flooring choice available. Rugs and carpet actually act as passive air filters, trapping dust, pollen and other particles and removing them from the breathing zone. Studies have shown that people with asthma and allergy problems have seen symptoms improve.

Provides Warmth and Comfort

Carpet provides actual thermal resistance, or R-value. In colder climates or seasons, it retains warm air longer, an energy conservation benefit. Rugs and carpet also provide a comfortable place to sit, play or work and they give a room an overall warmer feeling.

Softens Slips and Falls

Rugs and carpet are ideal for cushioning our footsteps, reducing slips and falls and minimizing injuries when falls do occur. They provide safety protection for the whole family, but especially for toddlers and older individuals.

Reduces Noise

Big screen TVs, speaker phones, computers and modern sound systems make our homes noisy places. Rugs and carpets help absorb these sounds. Adding a cushion pad beneath your carpet reduces noise even further. They also work as a sound barrier between floors by helping to block sound transmission to rooms below. And carpet on stairs help mask the sound of constant foot traffic.

Simple Home Cleaning Tips

Crumbs on the kitchen counter, dust on the TV, gunk in the bathroom sink — We can’t stand our houses when they are a mess. But the thought of spending an entire day cleaning it from top to bottom sends me running to the sofa for a nap. After all, in a week, it’s just going to get dirty again.

Home Cleaning

Here are three simple home cleaning steps to help curb those nagging feelings:

Set cleaning to auto or leave it to the professionals

Make friends with the latest effort-saving cleaning tools and products, such as robotic vacuum cleaners and floor washers, and self-cleaning cat boxes, which rake cat poop into cartridges that you replace every week or so. An automatic shower cleaner spiffs up your shower at the touch of a button, and self-cleaning toilet bowl cleaners scrub your toilet every time you flush. We also suggest calling in a professional to help with your cleaning needs, like your rugs, carpets, upholstery and tile & grout.

Sweat the small stuff & zap the dirt fast

Clean drips as soon as they occur, before they dry or soak into surfaces or carpet & rugs. When you spill on your range top or carpet, quickly run a damp sponge over the (hot) surface – before it stains. Dust often so it doesn’t have a chance to build up and harden in corners and crevices.

Pick a focus room & clean in short bursts

Spend another 10 minutes cleaning one room. Clean a different room every day, so eventually your whole house gets attention. Look at the top, middle and bottom of the room, and pretend you’re seeing it for the first time. Tackle the tasks you don’t always get to, like removing cobwebs and dusting plants.

Plan and Prepare for the Spring Cleaning

Spring CleaningWhich words do you associate with spring cleaning? Stress and Hard work? A dread-filled ordeal? Corporal Punishment???!! or just ‘Eww…Yuck’! Well, here we are to re-program your beliefs about spring cleaning the house by showing you how easy it can be to transform your home into the spotless abode you desire in just a few simple steps. The main idea is to ‘work smart’ and not necessarily as hard you may think… Let’s find out how.

1. Get the family involved: don’t go solo

The worse part about spring cleaning is the thought of taking the monumental responsibility onto oneself. This will not only drain but also demotivate you even before you begin. The right way to handle the task is by getting the family involved and making it a group responsibility. In this way, maintaining the cleanliness and clutter-free level will be easier apart from the actual clearing and cleaning process being less stressful and quicker for all.

2. Delegate work areas to each family member

The best way to share the work load of spring cleaning, and not get into each other’s way, is by assigning a specific work area to each family member. Delegate a room such as the kitchen, living room etc., home components such as all the windows, shelves etc. or then processes like scrubbing, vacuuming your carpet & rugs and others depending on which works best.

3. Turn on the music and establish a reward to keep everyone in high spirits

Set the mood for a productive family day ahead by playing some peppy tunes in the background. Sing along as you throw, store, scrub, scour, wash and wipe together. Have a sense of humor about it! Don’t take the job too seriously but be assertive enough to set high cleanliness standards: no hoarding! A good way to make sure the kids cover their work areas well, is by offering motivational awards to those who do a good job. Everyone learns, bonds and enjoys themselves while the house gets a good make over.

4. De-clutter unwanted items and have cleaning aides handy

Prior to actual Cleaning Day, plan the actual spring cleaning or de-cluttering session. Getting unwanted items out of the way will make the cleansing process ten times easier. You can donate discarded clothes, toys and even furniture to the Salvation Army and other donation drives. Then stock up on the correct cleaning equipment – brushes, mops, sponges, squeegees, brooms, buckets, vacuum cleaners, spray bottles and the right liquids and detergents. The right tools are essential for convenience and ease of creating a spick and span space.

Or you can always call in the professionals at Perfect Pear Home Pros! If you’d like to confidently understand the cleaning process or if you simply want assurity that the job will be done correctly, the first time, with a company that has a 100% Satisfaction & Money back Guarantee (up to $1000) then we are the company for you.

Rug Fading Can Happen. Be Careful!

Oriental rugs are beautiful but they are not cheap. If you own one of these expensive beauties, it is advisable to put a few measures in place. Measures that will help extend the life of your rug and keep rug fading to a minimum.

The first thing to keep in mind is that ultraviolet light is the real cause of fading. The other parts of the light spectrum don’t really damage your rug. Limiting the rug’s exposure to UV is key. There are a few things you can do which will make a difference. For example, if you have sunlight coming into the room at certain angles, only the few sections of the rug that get exposed to the sunlight will get faded, resulting in a rug that looks inconsistent with some faded patches and some bright patches. When you rotate the rug, it gets evenly exposed so that the rug fading is gradual and unnoticeable.

After inspecting rugs in many homes over the years, I have come to think that sunlight may be a rug’s principal nemesis—even to be feared, even, than moths. Sunlight streaming through a window directly onto a rug is virtually guaranteed to harm it, whether morning or afternoon, southern or western sunlight. Naturally dyed rugs and synthetically dyed rugs suffer equally. Colors fade unevenly and wool and cotton dry out and become brittle.

rug fading

Most damage is caused by light shining through a window, of course, but often rugs fade from sunlight streaming through a skylight. Sometimes people have no idea what’s happening because it occurs at a time of day when they’re not home. In my own house I once had to replace my Plexiglas skylight with Plexiglas that had been UV filtered. A special word of caution: don’t forget that if the sun is not coming directly through your window now, it may do so at a different time of the year when, for instance, the sun is lower in the southern sky.

Helps with Protection from Sun Light

You can eliminate or prevent the problem by keeping the curtains closed or by having a window film professionally applied (window tints can be applied to your windows which filter out harmful ultraviolet light). This is the most effective and also the easiest thing you can do to keep your rug looking good longer. When you rotate the rug frequently, it prevents extended exposure to the same harmful elements.

If your rug has already suffered fading by the sun, there is still hope that it can be improved. If the fading is merely on the very tips of the pile (and you can determine that by looking closely at it), then washing the rug (professionally) may help the problem by simply abrading the faded tips of the wool. More severe rug fading can sometimes be improved by professional clipping of the entire pile.
